WASHINGTON COUNTY, Okla. — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation arrested a Washington County Sheriff's Office employee for embezzlement.
Agents said on May 8, 2020, Washington County District Attorney asked OSBI for help after they found possible illegal purchases by 53-year-old Kevin Farley.
Farley was the Maintenance Supervisor for the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Agents found Farley made several vehicle parts and lawn equipment purchases using county funds. Agents said the purchases, that date back to Jan. 2019, appeared to be for personal, or otherwise unjustified, use.
OSBI issued a probable cause affidavit for Farley for one count of embezzlement of state property, which is a felony.
Farley turned himself in to the Washington County Sheriff's Office on Aug. 17. He bonded out the same day.
