OSBI: Olive Public Schools were placed on temporary lockdown as authorities investigated homicide

CREEK COUNTY, Okla. – Olive schools were put on a temporary lockdown as local authorities investigated a nearby homicide.

OSBI reports that Ronald Bethel, 61, was shot and killed around 9:30 Tuesday morning, prompting the lockdowns.

Olive Public Schools was placed on the lockdown not long after the homicide was reported by Creek County Sheriff’s Office but it was later lifted around 12:45 p.m.
