SPERRY, Okla. — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says the Sperry Police Department requested their assistance in a homicide in Sperry.

OSBI says the homicide took place near the 300 block of West 88th Street.

Early Monday morning, Deena Ostoich was found dead inside her boyfriend's home. Agents say, according to Ostoich's daughter, Ostoich and her boyfriend, Gary Brown, had began arguing on March 28 after coming back from California.

The daughter had traveled with them from California, agents say. The couple was supposed to stop in New Mexico but, due to the arguing, continue straight through to Oklahoma.

Agents say Ostoich's daughter arrived in Tulsa on March 29, and began receiving phone calls from Brown Sunday night, asking her to pick up her mom.

The call continued until 11:30 p.m., when Brown called saying that Ostoich was dead, agents say.

After Sperry police discovered Ostoich dead at Brown's home, they were notified that a car matching Brown's was found in Tulsa, agents say. Tulsa police told Sperry police that the man inside the car appeared to be dead, agents say.

Agents say the car was registered to Brown and that ther was no apparent trauma to Brown, inside the car.

This is an ongoing investigation, agents say.
