OTTAWA COUNTY, Okla. — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating a homicide in Ottawa County.
Around 11 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, OSBI officials said Melvin Shamblin was shot at a home in Wyandotte, Okla.
Officials said Shamblin was taken to a hospital in Joplin, Missouri where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators interviewed several witnesses, including the alleged shooter, according to the OSBI. Officials said the alleged shooter was cooperative and released after the interview.
So far, no charges have been filed.
