2 bodies found in Okfuskee County during homicide investigation

OKFUSKEE COUNTY, Okla. — Two bodies that were found during a homicide investigation in Okfuskee County on Tuesday were positively identified as belong to two missing people from Texas.

OSBI officials said they are assisting Temple, Texas Police Department investigators and Okfuskee County Sheriff's Office investigators off County Road 1140 in Clearview, which is about an hour south of Tulsa. The investigation is tied to the disappearances of Jenna Scott, 28, and Michael Swearingin, 32, in Texas.

Law enforcement officials on scene said they've been at the home for multiple days searching about 100 square yards. About 40 people are involved in the search. Officials said no one is living at the home, but it is not a completely abandoned property.

The bodies of a man and woman were found in a grave on the property. Tthe bodies recovered are that of Scott and Swearingin, according to the Oklahoma State Medical Examiners Office. The cause of death will be released at a later date.
