TULSA - Police are investigating after a man was killed following a wreck in midtown Tulsa, Sunday evening.
The wreck occurred near 26th Street and South Sheridan Avenue. The street is completely blocked off.
Police say the man was involved in an argument with his parents and a neighbor at an apartment complex nearby. The man took off in his vehicle, crashing into two other cars traveling northbound on Sheridan Avenue. One of those drivers was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
When people rushed to the speeding man's aid following the crash, police say he was combative and refused help.
By the time an ambulance arrived, the man had gone into cardiac arrest. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police have talked with several witnesses and are collecting photos and videos from them.
Right now, investigators are treating this incident as a traffic fatality, but a medical examiner will determine whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in his death.
