One juvenile in custody after police pursuit in north Tulsa; Vehicle stolen from Jenks

TULSA -- One juvenile is in custody after a short pursuit late Friday night in north Tulsa.

Police said an officer attempted to make a traffic stop at about 11 p.m. Friday night near 36th Street North and Peoria. Police said the driver of the vehicle stopped briefly, then sped off.

After a short chase through a neighborhood, police said two people got out of the vehicle and ran. A K-9 officer found the driver, but police said the passenger escaped.

A girl in the vehicle was interviewed, but police let her go.

Police said the vehicle was stolen out of Jenks.
