Tulsa police released the identity of a man killed in a deadly officer-involved shooting.

On August 8, Tulsa police responded to the area of 2400 North Harvard for reports of a person attempting to break into a building. When officers arrived they found 25-year-old Johnathan Randell armed with a knife.

After ignoring commands from the officers, Randell began harming himself with the knife. Officers attempted to subdue Randell using a pepper ball gun.

When Randell approached officers with the knife, officers shot him. He was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
