Okmulgee Police: Second Victim Involved in Shooting Dies from Injuries

OKMULGEE — Okmulgee police say the second victim involved in a shooting that took place on Tuesday, has passed away.

Okmulgee police say they were informed late yesterday that Mandy Hart has died from her injuries.

Police say they were dispatched to the 700 block of East 13th Street in Okmulgee to reports of a person "actively shooting people."

First responders confronted the suspect, 21-year-old Austin McMahan, in front of the home, police say, and he surrendered without any problems.

When police entered the home, two victims were discovered with gunshot wounds, police say.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital and later transferred to a Tulsa hospital for treatment.

Police say both 47-year-old Ronald "Bubba" Chandler and 19-year-old Mandy Hart have died from their injuries.

Police say McMahan was booked into jail on two shooting with intent to kill complaints. Police say, one already being upgraded to murder.
