The Okmulgee Police Department confirmed a man has drowned at Okmulgee Lake.
Police said the drowning happened near the Pin Oak Landing swimming area. The victim was identified as Cody Hernden, 19, an Okmulgee County resident.
Witnesses told police that a man swimming began to struggle and as they were rendering aid, he went under and never resurfaced.
Officials said the dive team was able to recover the man's body.
