Okla. unemployment rate falls 0.1 percent in Nov

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The unemployment rate in Oklahoma has fallen by 0.1 percent from October to November.

The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission said Friday that the jobless rate declined from 4.3 percent to 4.2 percent, although the rate is 0.2 percent higher than a year ago. The jobless rate in November 2014 was 4 percent.

The state reports an increase of 1,100 jobs in the construction industry from October to November and gains of 900 jobs in both government and the financial activities sector, plus a 700 job increase in the leisure and hospitality industry.

The greatest decline in employment is in the trade, transportation and utilities sector, which lost 3,100 jobs.
