OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin announced Friday that the state has received a REAL ID extension through Oct. 2019.
The extension means that the federal government will continue to recognize Oklahoma driver's license and ID card holders until next year.
Oklahomans will be able to gain access to federal buildings and military installations using these documents.
“This is great news for Oklahomans, and means there will be no restrictions on individuals using Oklahoma licenses to fly or access federal buildings through October 10 of next year,” said Fallin. “Oklahoma is actively working towards full compliance.”
