ARDMORE, Okla. — If you're looking for a vacation and are a fan of the iconic show "Golden Girls," look no further!
The Golden Girls Guest House in Ardmore, Oklahoma can be rented for a fun weekend getaway on Airbnb.
The guest house is the original childhood home of Rue McClanahan, who played Blanche on the "Golden Girls." The home is three bedrooms and one bath and is great for an anniversary or girls getaway.

Rue McClanahan, or Eddi-Rue McClanahan, was born in Healdton, Oklahoma in February 1934. McClanahan grew up in Ardmore where she acted in school plays and later got a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Tulsa in German and Theater.
McClanahan performed both on and off Broadway. Later, her role in the 1970s TV show, "Another World," gained her recognition. McClanahan landed her role as Blanche, a southern belle who was bit man crazy, on "Golden Girls" in 1985.

In 1987, she received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance on "Golden Girls."
Monday, Sept. 14 is the 35th Anniversary of the "Golden Girls." The show of friendship between four single woman living in Florida first captured the screen on Sept. 14, 1985.

Audiences enjoyed seven seasons watching Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty argue, laugh, cry and have fun. The four characters, better known as Dorothy, Rose, Blanche and Sophia, shared their life struggles and victories under the same roof of a home in Miami, Florida.
