According to ODOT Highway Conditions Alert:
As of 1-17-2020 at 11:00 a.m. weather conditions continue to change across parts of the state this morning and Oklahoma Department of Transportation crews continue to treat bridges and slick roads across northwestern and western Oklahoma.
Highways are wet in central, southwestern and eastern Oklahoma. Crews will continue to treat roads and bridges until conditions improve.
Motorists in these areas are cautioned to plan extra travel time and to check conditions before heading to their destinations.
Drivers should closely follow the forecast and check current road conditions on the interactive travel map at www.okroads.org [lnks.gd] or through the free ODOT app.
REMEMBER during snowy and icy conditions, motorists are asked to:

• Allow extra space between vehicles to provide adequate distance for braking.
• Be aware of "black ice," which looks wet on the roadway but is a thin layer of ice.
• Be patient, plan trips ahead and allow extra time in reaching destinations.
NOTE: Additional advisories will be sent from this office as conditions change.
