Oklahoma has raked in more than $2 million in state, local sales tax for medical marijuana

OKLAHOMA CITY — State Question 788 has been in effect since last summer, and the state is continuing to see the financial benefits.

The Oklahoma Tax Commission says the state has received more than $2 million in state and local sales tax for medical marijuana since November.

The commission also says that marijuana sales eclipsed $7 million in February.

On Thursday, Gov. Kevin Stitt signed the "Unity Bill," which will regulate the medical marijuana industry.
