5 storm-related deaths reported

State emergency crews continue calculating the total impact of this weekend's massive winter storm. 

Officials confirm five deaths have been reported as a result of severe weather since Saturday. Another 104 were transported to state hospitals for storm-related injuries. 

Highway patrol reports 955 weather-related collisions, including 137 injury wrecks. 

The American Red Cross has nine shelters open for those in need:

  • El Teno YMCA  2200 Babcock, El Reno
  • National Guard Armory  1900 E. Flagstone, HWY 5, Frederick
  • Cedar Lake Chapel  21619 E. 6th St, Hinton
  • Hollis Civic Center  208 W Jones, Hollis
  • Church of Christ  913 W Will Rogers, Kingfisher
  • Cameron Baptist Church  2621 S.W. C Ave, Lawton
  • Medicine Park Community Center  19001 HWY 49, Medicine Park
  • Mountain View Pentecostal Holiness Church, Mountain View
  • First Baptist Church  729 East St, Snyder

A State of Emergency issued on November 29 has been extended another 30 days for all 77 counties impacted by the Thanksgiving storm.
