Big developments tonight in the state of Oklahoma's fight against opioid distributors.

Attorney General Mike Hunter says the state is dismissing its lawsuit against three of them with the intention of filing new lawsuits against each individual company.

This after those three companies, including McKesson, Cardinal Health and AmerisourceBergen Corp., removed the state's case from Cleveland County District Court to a federal court in Oklahoma City.

Dismissing the charges takes the case out of federal court, officials said. The state plans file the petitions against each company at a later date.
