TULSA, Okla — The Oklahoma Department of Commerce will be hosting a free Aerospace Career Fair.

Organizers say job seekers can expect to discuss open positions in the industry and provide job search tips for attendees, as well as on the spot interview opportunities.

“Aerospace is the second largest industry sector in Oklahoma with an annual economic impact of $44 billion, an $11.7 billion payroll for more than 120,000 jobs, and an average salary of $73,300. We have a goal of adding 10,000 more aerospace jobs to our state in the next five years, and events like this career fair are vitally important to help fill current job openings and keep up with the demands of our state’s second-largest industry,” ACES Program Director Lt. General Don Wetekam said.

The job fair is dedicated to high school students to senior engineers, organizers say.

Early entry will be available for Tulsa Tech students, veterans, veteran spouses, and active duty military at 9 a.m.

The event will be held at Tulsa Tech's Riverside Campus, at 801 East 91st Street on Jan. 15 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Organizers say a second career fair will be held in the Oklahoma City Metro at Rose State College on Jan. 22.
