Okla. state park information for the Fourth of July weekend

Oklahoma officials on Wednesday provided updates for state parks that will affect Fourth of July plans.

Here are the state park flood updates for the week of 7/1.

Northeastern Oklahoma

Grand Lake
7/01/2019 Bernice Area-The entire park is closed for RV and tent camping. The nature center is open. Nature center trail remains closed.
7/01/2019 Twin Bridges Area-Anglers Paradise (lower campground) is closed.
7/01/2019 Cherokee Area- Riverside remains closed. Grand Cherokee campground is open but fully booked for the holiday.

Spavinaw Lake
7/01/2019 Spavinaw Area-The entire park below Spavinaw spillway is gated and closed to RV and tent camping

Lake Hudson
7/01/2019 Snowdale Area -The entire park is closed to RV and tent camping

Keystone Lake
7/01/2019 RV sites 31-42 in Lake Country are closed. Shelters 1 & 2 are closed. Green Country 37-46 tent sites are unavailable. Boat ramps in these areas remain closed. Limited availability for tent sites in Red Carpet Country.

On Fort Gibson Lake:
7/01/2019 Sequoyah State Park Campgrounds
Cherokee, Paradise Cove south and Choctaw tent campgrounds are closed.
Creek campground is partially closed
Cherokee RV area, only sites available are 1-4.
Paradise Cove South-closed
Seminole campground: Sites 12-17 unavailable are open
Sequoyah Golf Course-Nine holes open for play

Sequoyah Bay State Park
7/01/2019 Partially open. Camping areas are limited. First come, first serve sites only. Reservations unavailable.

7/01/2019 Lake Tenkiller
Tenkiller State Park-The Gooseneck Bend and Hickory Flats areas and boat ramps are closed. The Shady Grove, Bluejay Knob lower road is closed.
Fisherman’s Point Area, diving park and boat ramps are closed. Bluff View tent campground has limited sites.
7/01/2019 Cherokee Landing State Park-The main road into the park is closed and the park is closed for future camping reservations. There is no day-use. Boat ramp is closed.

Central/Southern Oklahoma

7/01/2019 Lake Thunderbird State Park- All campgrounds and boat ramps are open.
The fishing dock at Fisherman’s Point is closed.

7/01/2019 Lake Texoma: Catfish Bay campground and boat ramp is open. Boat ramps in the park have limited access

Western/Southwestern Oklahoma

Foss Lake
7/01/2019 Foss State Park- Cottonwood campground sites 11-40 are not available for RV camping.
Buffalo Bend Boat ramp is closed.
Marina is open. Docks and walkways open.
Swim beach is closed but is being monitored for opening on a day by day basis throughout the week and weekend.

Fort Cobb Lake
7/01/2019 Fort Cobb State Park-
White Catfish Cove-5 sites unavailable
Deer Run-25 sites unavailable-open
Tent Hill-11 sites unavailable open
Tent campgrounds:
Sycamore-ALL (12 sites) unavailable open
Goose Feather-8 sites unavailable
Cove Road-ALL (20 sites unavailable)
Tent Hill-11 sites unavailable open
Boat ramps are useable but some courtesy boat docks/walkways are damaged.

Fort Cobb Golf Course
7/01/2019 All 18 holes are open.

Great Salt Plains State Park
7/01/2019
All areas are open

Roman Nose
7/01/2019 Campsites 27-36 at the Canyon Vista/Cedar Cove have high water levels and are closed. Lake Watonga is closed. Boating is not allowed on the lake at all TFN.

Southeastern Oklahoma

Lake Wister
7/01/2019
Victor and Ward's Area campgrounds at Wister are closed. Quarry Island sites have limited tent camping. Wister Ridge tent camping is unavailable.
