TULSA – The identity of the man who died after being struck by a vehicle on Saturday has been released.

Lonnie Bean, 54, was reportedly struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on Interstate 44 east of Yale Avenue, says Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Bean was transported to a nearby hospital but later was declared dead after suffering head and internal injuries, report authorities.

The driver of the 2005 Ford Escape that struck Bean was Michael Francisco, 27. Francisco was also transported and treated for minor head and internal injuries.
