WAGONER COUNTY — Oklahoma Highway Patrol has reopened the inside lane on Muskogee Turnpike near mile marker 7.

OHP had closed the southbound lanes due to an accident involving a 2020 Freightliner and a 2018 Freightliner, which occurred around 6 a.m. Friday.

Troopers said a 24-year-old driver from Springfield was taken to the hospital in stable condition after the crash, and the other driver, a 36-year-old from North Carolina, refused treatment at the scene.

Officials said both vehicles were southbound on State Highway 351 when the driver of the 2020 Freightliner pulled on to the shoulder and attempted to do a U-turn. The other vehicle then struck the 2020 vehicle on the driver's side, which ejected the 24-year-old from the truck.

The outside lane, troopers said, will remain closed during remediation.
