UPDATE: OHP: Releases identity of suspect killed in U.S. Marshal-involved shooting in Okmulgee County

OKMULGEE COUNTY, Okla. — UPDATE: According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the identity of the suspect killed in the U.S. Marshal-involved shooting has been released.

OHP says, 20-year-old Corben Jones was shot and killed in Henryetta Wednesday night when U.S. Marshals were attempting to serve a warrant on a Tulsa Co. case.

There is no further information at this time.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, one person is dead after a U.S. Marshal-involved shooting took place in Okmulgee County.

OHP says U.S. Marshals Eastern District Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force was attempting to serve a warrant around 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday night.

OHP says while they attempted to serve the warrant, shots were fired by law enforcement , including an OHP trooper who is a member of the task force.

Officials say the person being served the warrant was shot and died at the scene.

Officials say OHP is investigating at this time.
