LAKE OOLOGAH -- Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the Rogers County Sheriff's Office say two people in the water at Lake Oologah were rescued by a passing boat on this 4th of July.

Troopers say they received a call from a witness that the two people were in the water and having trouble on the lake near Winganon Bridge.

Troopers and Rogers County officials say they believe a 9-year-old girl and one other person were the water; they weren't sure how or why they were in the lake a decent way from the shore. A passing boat picked up the two people and took them to Red Bud Marina.

OHP says there were no life-threatening injuries.
