ROGERS COUNTY — Officials with Oklahoma Highway Patrol say the body of a 59-year-old man was recovered in a body of water in Rogers County on Friday.

OHP says the drowning occurred in the 4100 block of East 390 Road around 11:30 a.m.

Michael Bunn's body was recovered by the Northwest Fire Department in less than 10 feet of water around 1:30 p.m., troopers said.

Troopers say a victim of Bunn's found him floating face down on the opposite side of a strip pit behind the residence.

Bunn's shoes and shorts were located on the opposite shoreline, troopers say.

OHP says a flotation device was not in use.

Officials say the cause of the drowning is still under investigation.
