OHP Dive Team recovers body of 28-year-old man from Boomer Lake in Stillwater

STILLWATER — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol Dive Team recovers body of 28-year-old man from Stillwater's Boomer Lake.

Stillwater Police said on Thursday, Aug. 13, they received reports of an overturned kayak with a pair of boots and fishing gear floating out in Boomer Lake.

Stillwater Fire, police and Stillwater Emergency Management searched the lake by boat, drone and helicopter. No drowning victim was found on the lake.

Authorities stopped searching at 11 p.m. due to darkness.

On the morning of Aug. 14, OHP Dive Team resumed a search just after daylight.

At 9:30 a.m., the dive team found 28-year-old Blake McSparrin of Stillwater.
