TULSA - A Broken Arrow man is now facing kidnapping and drug possession charges after a chase through east Tulsa early Saturday morning.

OHP says a trooper attempted to pull over a Chevy Silverado traveling westbound on I-44 around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, but the driver refused to stop.

Troopers say during the chase a female passenger opened the door and attempted to escape.

The driver of the vehicle eventually pulled over in a parking lot. The woman inside the vehicle told troopers Christopher Moreno, 41, offered to give her a ride to a Tulsa apartment complex. After getting into the vehicle, the woman told OHP Moreno left in the opposite direction.

After a brief struggle, troopers were able to arrest Moreno. Troopers also found a small bag of meth inside the vehicle and discovered that the truck was stolen.

Moreno was arrested for driving under the influence, kidnapping, possession of a stolen vehicle and several other charges.
