OHP: 14-year-old Sand Springs boy killed in auto-pedestrian accident

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a young boy was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident this morning in Sand Springs.

Troopers say an 18-year-old driver was headed westbound on SH51 near Bermuda Avenue when he struck a boy who was walking down the center of SH51.

OHP says the 14-year-old boy from Sand Springs was pronounced dead at the scene due to "head and trunk injuries."

The cause of collision was stated as' pedestrian action' in the OHP release.
