WASHINGTON COUNTY, Okla. - Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating after a vehicle was discovered in Caney River near Highway 75 south of Bartlesville.

Troopers say an off-duty Osage County deputy was driving on Highway 75 when he saw a red Dodge truck upside down in the river Saturday morning.

Officials have confirmed a white woman was found dead in the vehicle, but her identity has not been released. Troopers say the truck fell about 40 to 50 feet before crashing into the river.

OHP believes the truck may have been in the river 2 to 4 days before being discovered.
