Officials in Pottawatomie County are investigating a possible measles outbreak.

Officials said a woman with the measles visited the Fire Lake Discount Foods store and a nail salon in Shawnee on April 27.

Now officials are issuing a warning to citizens to get checked because they may have been exposed.

Measles is highly contagious and can be spread through the air, officials said.

If you or your family believe they have been exposed, you are urged to contact the Pottawatomie County Health Department at 405-273-2157 or the Oklahoma State Department of Health at 1-800-234-5963.
