TULSA – Tulsa fire officials say a vacant home fire is being investigated as arson.

The flames erupted on North Detroit Avenue near East 46th Street North Thursday.

Firefighters on the scene said there was something odd about the blaze, prompting an investigation to begin.

“[We] went ahead and called for a fire investigator. The house has been vacant for two years now. With a fire going like that in vacant we suspect someone probably intentionally set this fire.”

By the time units responded, the fire was already through the roof.
