TULSA, Okla. — UPDATE: The Tulsa Police Department released bodycam video of a deadly officer-involved shooting in north Tulsa that occurred in October.

-----------------------------------------------------

Officers arrived to the area of 3800 East Pine for what they thought was a motorist assist.

The car appeared to be abandoned in the road way, they stopped and made contact with a female driver who said everything was okay but the car was not operable.

The driver told police that her boyfriend was going to be there soon to assist her with the vehicle.

“When the boyfriend did return officers got on the radio and said we need more cars here. What happened is the boyfriend returned on a bicycle, set the bicycle down and produced a gun on the officers,” said Sergeant Shane Tuell, the Public Information Officer with the Tulsa Police Department.

The suspect is deceased due to gun shot wounds from the officers.

At this time, no officers have reported any injuries.

The incident is still currently being investigated, and police will use body cam footage to assess what took place.
