Tulsa police say they have identified the suspect killed in the officer-involved shooting Friday morning.
Police say the shooting took place at the Waterstone Apartments near 61st and Peoria Avenue.
Just before 2:30 a.m., Tulsa Police Officers were dispatched to the Apartments in reference to a Domestic Violence in progress with a weapon.
Tulsa Police Officers, and a uniformed security guard, encountered the suspect, Jerry Gaghins, who was still wielding the knife.
Investigators say the officers gave several commands for Gaghins to drop the weapon, and he refused to comply with commands.
The officers and security guard opened fire at Gaghins, hitting and killing him.
