An inmate was taken into custody after he walked away from the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center, a minimum-security prison in McAlester, on Thursday, according to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
The inmate has been identified as Jeremiah Hobbs.
Hobbs was discovered around 6:45 p.m. Monday after a traffic stop at a convenience store in Broken Arrow with his girlfriend, Sara Stocum, according to ODOC officials.
Stocum was also arrested and will be booked at David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center for harboring a fugitive, officials said.
Officials say Hobbs will be held at Lexington Correctional Center in Lexington for a two-week quarantine because COVID-19 precautions.
Hobbs was serving an eight-year sentence out of Tulsa County for second-degree burglary, officials said. He could face a potential felony escape charge.
