NWS: Residents asked to evacuate after hydrogen chloride gas leak near Woodward, Okla.

WOODWARD, Okla. — According to the National Weather Service in Norman, residents are being asked to evacuate after a hydrogen chloride gas leak occurred at the Deepwater Chemical Facility near Woodward, Okla.

Officials say the Woodward County Emergency Manager has requested that residents evacuate the area near the Woodward Airport.

Residents between the Woodward Airport and northward one mile to County Line Road 40, should leave the area in an East or West direction, away from the airport, or north along Highway 196.
