TULSA - Tulsa police believe alcohol was a factor in a north Tulsa pursuit Wednesday night.
While patrolling around 54th Street North and Garrison Avenue TPD saw a silver Volvo speeding through a neighborhood.
Police tried to stop the car, but it sped up. The car eventually hit a tree around 3900 North Hartford Avenue The driver was ejected from the car. Police had to rescue the three passengers.
At the scene Cpl. Rusty Brown, TPD, told 2 Works for You that police believe the driver wanted to escape police because they were drunk. Two people in the car were minors.
No arrests were made at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
