After running more than a half-mile for help, a Tulsa man called 911 saying he'd been robbed and shot at while leaving a north Tulsa apartment complex.
The emergency call to Tulsa police came in just before 2:00 a.m., according to Cpl. Matt Rose.
The victim told police that as he was leaving the Seminole Hills Apartments, located near East Virgin Street and North Trenton Avenue, a man ambushed him, pulled out a gun and demanded everything the victim had on him.
Rose said the victim told them he then ran for safety.
As he ran, the victim says the suspect, described as a man in early 20s, fired two shots at him.
The victim eventually made it to the Taco Bell at East Pine Street and North Peoria Avenue, where he made the 911 call.
Police deployed K-9 officers in their search for the suspect but were unsuccessful.
The victim wasn't hurt.
