No. 4 Oklahoma Sooners fall to No. 1 Alabama 45-34 in Orange Bowl

MIAMI, Fla. — The No. 4 Oklahoma Sooners fell short of the national championship game as they lost to No. 1 Alabama 45-34 in the Orange Bowl.

The Roll Tide (14-0) face No. 2 Clemson Tigers (14-0) on Jan. 7 in Santa Clara, California.

Sooners quarterback Kyler Murray finished the night 19-of-37 with 308 yards and two touchdowns.

Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa went 24-of-27 for 318 yards and four TDs.

Murray led the Sooners in rushing with 109 yards on 17 carries.

The Sooners put up the most points on the Alabama defense than any other team this season.
