TULSA, Okla. — The new year is almost here and ahead of Tuesday night's celebrations, preparations are being made to celebrate with friends and loved ones.

This year’s event at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is bigger than in year’s past.

There will be five different stage areas, each filled with different bands and DJ's throughout the day starting at noon.

Senior Director of Marketing Martin Madewell said there’s been days of preparation getting ready for the event.

“if you’ve ever been in the grand lobby at midnight here you’ll get it. You’ll get it. It’s really an experience. We named it Tulsa Time’s Square this year because we really felt if you’re going to be in Tulsa celebrating New Year’s Eve, you want to be there in that Grand Lobby," said Madewell. "It’s a pretty awesome feeling to have 5000 balloons collapsing on you and all your family and friends.”

There’s also events happening across town for the kids to enjoy, including a Noon Year's Eve celebration at Discovery Lab.

Families can celebrate at noon with thousands of balloons falling from the sky and games and more.

Everything gets started at 9:30 a.m. and go until 1 p.m.
