MUSKOGEE, Okla. -- Johnny Teehee has been named as the new chief for the Muskogee Police Department.
Teehee has been with the department for over 30 years, and has been the deputy chief to Chief Rex Eskridge for the last 15 years.
Teehee will assume his new position upon Eskridge's retirement on July 13.
“I am excited and looking forward to the challenges of being the Chief of Police,” Teehee said. “I want to continue to move the Muskogee Police Department forward and carry on the legacy that was created by Chief Eskridge to remain one of the top law enforcement agencies in Oklahoma.”
