and last updated

A new Oklahoma law will help drivers who are stranded on the side of the road.

Under Senate Bill 89, if there is a vehicle on the side of the road with its flashers on, drivers must move over at least one lane.

If there is no other lane, drivers have to slow down.

The law goes into effect November 1.
