MUSKOGEE, Okla. -- A new K9 officer is on the streets of Muskogee, the Muskogee Police Department announced Wednesday.

Oli is a three-year-old Belgian Milinois that was born in Poland, imported through Holland, and purchased by the police department from Vohne Liche Kennels.

Oli will join Lieutenant Peters with the department after Peters had been with K9 Indie, who recently died.

Oli hit the ground running, the department said, and on his third day of work, caught two suspects who were running from officers in different directions. One suspect was attempting to hide under a shed, and another was hiding in the woods.
