Officials say Terry Freeman was appointed as the new Sheriff for Muskogee County.
Freeman was sworn in as the Sheriff of Muskogee County at 8 a.m. Friday morning.
Officials say Freeman was served with the following agencies prior to being sworn in as the Sheriff of Muskogee County:

Freeman has been a resident of Muskogee County for 42 years, officials say. His wife, Karen, is a retired elementary school teacher at Muskogee Public Schools. They have a daughter and two grandchildren, officials say.
Michael Crawford, his son-in-law, is a Captain with the Muskogee Police Department.

Frazier's last day as Sheriff is today.
The Muskogee County Board of Commissioners interviewed four applicants.
