TULSA, Okla. — Next week, running errands with kids could be a bit easier if a trip to the liquor store is on your list. Starting Friday, Nov. 1., accompanied minors will be allowed in liquor stores.
For liquor store owners like Ian Sprowl, the new law will prevent him from missing out on customers who can't visit his store, because they do not want to leave kids in the car.
"It’s a big frustration on their part and it’s a frustration on our part when we lose the sale because of that," said Sprowl.
While Sprowl says he thinks the new law will make it "easier for everyone," parents like father of two Chris Jordan said parents are proceeding with caution.
"It could be a good thing or bad thing," said Jordan. "You shouldn't just take your kid in for the sake of it, but don't make alcohol such a taboo thing because that's going to lead a kid to rebel."
