TULSA -- The Tulsa Zoo celebrated world Giraffe day by announcing that a new addition will soon be made to the zoo's exhibit.
The zoo announced Tuesday that the Osage Casino will sponsor s $1 million Giraffe barn within the exhibit.
The barn will come equipped with new individual and communal stalls for the Giraffes and 2,000 square feet of indoor space for year-round viewing, among many other Giraffe-focused amenities.
The announcement was made on world Giraffe day, a day for creating awareness for the creatures.
According to the Giraffe Conservation Foundation, only 90,000 Giraffes remain in the wild.
The expansion could take seven or eight years.
