TULSA, Okla. — Neighbors living in west Tulsa's "Crosbie Heights" neighborhood are concerned about a potential fire hazard behind some homes after smoldering materials keep igniting flames.

The Tulsa Fire Department says crews have been called out to the problem area at least 10 times in the past several days. They believe someone has been illegally dumping construction materials over the wooded area west of the IDL.

They reassure residents there is no danger of fire spreading, but it is a nuisance.

The area is owned by the Sand Springs Railroad, which fire officials say has been very cooperative during this process to fix the issue.
