MUSKOGEE, Okla. - A former Muskogee County jailer has been arrested for second degree rape after admitting to having sexual contact with an inmate.
The Muskogee County Sheriff's office requested OSBI investigate an improper relationship between Harold Eugene Shinn and a female inmate.
OSBI says "An OSBI special agent and county investigator interviewed the victim and the suspect. Both had similar stories of the sexual encounter that happened in June 2015."
According to the agency, Shinn was dismissed from his job in January. Monday morning Shinn was arrested at his home and taken to the Muskogee County Jail.
