MUSKOGEE, Okla. — Muskogee High School's varsity football game against Putnam City is postponed for student safety due to Muskogee County's coronavirus case numbers remaining in the Orange Level Two, according to the Muskogee Public School's website.

Muskogee Athletics and Putnam City West Athletics are working together to reschedule the game for a later date once the county's COVID-19 cases decrease.

Putnam City School District policy prevents their teams from participating against another school that resides in a county with COVID-19 cases above Orange Level Two (25 cases per 100,000 or higher). Muskogee County has remained in Orange Level Two as designated by the Oklahoma State Department’s safety protocols guidance and the county level case data as reported by the state Health Department.
