MUSKOGEE -- A Muskogee Police Department officer has been placed on administrative leave without pay after he was arrested on a complaint of domestic assault with a dangerous weapon.
MPD conducted an investigation Saturday after the allegations were made against officer Brian Hackett.
The Police Department released the following statement:
"On March 11th, the Muskogee Police Department conducted an investigation after allegations were made that Officer Brian Hackett had committed Domestic Assault. As a result of that preliminary investigation he has been arrested and booked into Muskogee County Jail on the charge of Domestic Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. Brian Hackett has been placed on administrative leave without pay pending the results of an internal investigations. While both the criminal and internal investigation are currently ongoing, we are unable to make any further statements at this time."
