According to the Muskogee Police Department, officers were dispatched at 8:38 p.m. to the area of 340 East Side Boulevard for reports of a stabbing.
When officers arrived on scene they found an unresponsive male lying on the ground bleeding.
The victim had been stabbed in the chest and was transported to St. Francis Muskogee where he was pronounced dead at 09:15 p.m.
With the help of security footage and witness reports, officers were able to get a description of the suspect.
A police K-9 unit tracked the suspect west of the scene.
The supect, Johnathan Zamudio, was located and apprehended without incident.
