Muskogee high school students picket for funding for schools, teacher pay raises

MUSKOGEE, Okla. -- About 40 Muskogee High School students are picketing outside the school Thursday as they push for more school funding and pay raises for teachers.

The students are looking to raise awareness for the issues Oklahoma schools are facing due to lack of funding. The students will picket outside the high school until 4 p.m. and another group is picketing outside an elementary school. 

Recently, Gov. Mary Fallin signed a budget bills that cut funding to Oklahoma agencies, including public schools.
